School Days, I miss you…

posted Nov 6, 2010, 3:35 AM by Dms Alumni

The long walk in the corridor,
While the old stained walls look at you.
The squeaky doors say HI some time,
While phenyl’s aroma wafts past you.
But whatever one says, I have to say,
School days, I miss you.

Sitting at the back with chips and gym for company,
And familiar voices for tunes.
A man with a book lectured you,
While you struggled to keep awake, with the rest of your crew.
But whatever one says, I have to say,
School days, I miss you.

A loved one’s banter is an SMS away,
And an enemy’s cold stares too.
You grove to the music, loud and noisy music,
While wires were hidden, without a clue.
But whatever one says, I have to say,
School days, I miss you.

But time flies by, you have to go,
To your alma mater you have to bow.
With a heavy heart and drenched hanky,
You are forced to say goodbye.
But whatever one says, I have to say.
School days, I miss you.

Years have passed, yet I sulk.
Sulk in the memories long gone.
Years have passed, yet I try to recall,
Memories that are smoky and hazy.
But whatever one says, I have to say.
School days, I miss you
